The Medico Legal Society of Malaysia (MLSM)
The Medico Legal Society of Malaysia (MLSM) was set up in 1987 as a common platform for members of the medical profession and the legal profession to meet, socialise, and discuss matters of common interest as well as for interdisciplinary co-operation. In furtherance of our objectives, MLSM organises workshops, events and conferences from time to time on topics of common interests, especially in the area of medico-legal issues.
Members of MLSM will be entitled to a discounted rate on all MLSM events.
There are several categories of MLSM membership:
1) Life Membership
Fee: RM550 (RM50 Entrance Fee + RM500 Membership Fee).
Duration: For life.
Criteria: Qualified members of the medical and legal professions and other associated professions in Malaysia may be admitted to the society as life members.
2) Ordinary Membership
Criteria: Persons who, whilst not eligible for appointment as Life or Ordinary Members, are actively engaged or interested in Medico-Legal work.
Duration: Lasts until 31st December of each year, annual subscription fee (RM50) payable every 1st January to renew ordinary membership.
Criteria: Qualified members of the medical and legal professions and other associated professions in Malaysia may be admitted to the society as ordinary members.
3) Associate Membership
Fee: RM80 for the first year (RM50 Entrance Fee (one off) + Annual Subscription Fee of RM30); RM30 for renewal in every subsequent years
Duration: Lasts until 31st December of each year, annual subscription fee (RM30) payable every 1st January to renew associate membership
Criteria: Persons who, whilst not eligible for appointment as Life or Ordinary Members, are actively engaged or interested in Medico-Legal work.
How To Apply
If you are interested in joining MLSM, kindly complete the membership application form. We can help you secure the proposer and seconder if you could not find any existing MLSM member to propose and/or second your application.
